Beverage company teaching kids to drink “purple drank” at an early age.

Stopped by Wayfield in East Point earlier today to pick up 1 liter bottles of JANA for 25 cents.  As I walked around the store looking for the “steal of the day”, I notice this purple can next to Red Rock Ginger Ales and Energy Drinks.  The can stood out because of the name “dRANK“. The name stood out because “purple drank” is slang in the “hood” and hip-hop community for “cough syrup/codeine & sprite”  I am sure the target market for this product is for those young kids who have listened to Lil Wayne, Pimp C, Three Six Mafia and others.

The Atlanta BeltLine

The final phase of Atlanta’s Gentrification. They make the displacement of poor people sound so harmless.

The BeltLine is a 22-mile loop of historic railroad that encircles downtown and midtown Atlanta, with a radius of two-to-four miles from Atlanta’s center. Over 100,000 people live within half a mile of the BeltLine, which connects 45 of the city’s in-town neighborhoods.
